I posted a photo of my groceries on X captioned “I refuse to eat bad while on road 🚚💌” and honestly did not expect it to do what it did — 99K views, 2.1K likes, over 300 bookmarks. People weren’t just liking it, they were saving it. That told me something: the logistics girls want this content, not just the merch. So here’s the real version.
I’m a few days into a 90-day run, and the way I’m staying on top of my health out here starts with what I put in my body, not just what I wear. Yesterday’s grocery run is a good snapshot of the whole system.
Rule one: no fried food, no exceptions
Truck stops and travel centers make it easy to grab whatever’s sitting under the heat lamp. I don’t. If I wouldn’t eat it at home, it doesn’t make the cut on the road either. That one rule ends up shaping almost everything else about how I shop and pack for a run.
Grilled salmon, garlic shrimp, a caesar salad, and a turkey sandwich — all grabbed the same run. None of it fried.
Snacks that actually do something
My snacks have to be filling, not just something to chew on between stops. Almond butter is a staple — protein, healthy fat, and it keeps me full a lot longer than anything wrapped in plastic off a gas station rack. I also keep a nut trail mix in rotation with pumpkin seeds and walnuts specifically, because they help keep my iron and fiber regulated when I’m eating differently than I would at home.
Why I switched my supplements to stick packs
At home, I take my supplements in capsule form daily, no issue. But hauling glass bottles across a 90-day run isn’t realistic — one hard brake and that’s a mess I don’t need. So I switched to Magnesium Glycinate stick packs instead. I take one about 30 minutes before I wind down for the night. Same benefit, none of the glass, none of the extra weight.
Currently in my road stock:
- Almond butter
- Nut trail mix — pumpkin seeds & walnuts
- Magnesium Glycinate stick packs (Trace)
- Hyaluronic acid
- Collagen peptides
This is the first one. I’m going to keep updating this with more of what’s actually keeping me together out here — the food, the supplements, the little things — for every Logistics Baddie doing the same mission I am. If you’re out here too, tell me what’s in your stock.
